Wildland Fires Field Day: Happening this Saturday, April 13th. Everyone will be meeting at the clubhouse at 9am. From there we will walk the neighborhood and listen to the fire personnel discuss strategies for managing fires in our community. If you would like your yard to be looked at and receive some suggestions, please email Kristi. We have around 7 homes that have requested guidance.

Earth Day Community Event: Happening on Sunday, April 21st. Please look at the attached flyer for details. Our habitat committee has organized this event.

Compost is Ready: Jose has scoped up last year's compost and moved it to the barn's driveway. It's loaded with worms and nutrients. Bring your shovel and buckets and get it while you can. Kristi used it last year and it made a huge difference in her raised beds. It is considered a cold compost.

Greens Plugging: Jose let us know that he plans on plugging the greens next Monday, the 15th.

Thanks to our maintenance employees for improving both paths to the beach this year! Amazing!

The board won't be holding a Tuesday evening board meeting this month, September 2023. There is no new business to conduct but there are ranch happenings that we want folks to be aware of:

Pool: The pool is officially closed for the season. Thank you to all the volunteers that opened and closed the pool all summer long.

Road Work: Jose and Paco will work on potholes as weather permits.

Willows: Jose and Paco will work on trimming back the willows once the ground bees go dormant. The work should get started at the end of September or early October.

City Trucks:  City of Port Angeles will be doing some cleaning out of culverts along ODT 9/5-9/7/23.   As part of this annual maintenance they will need to bring their Vac truck through the easement off 4 seasons / Langley property on either 9/6 or 9/7.

Storage & Animal Barns: The roofers will be starting on the storage barn on Wednesday, the 6th. Once they finish that roof, they will begin working on the animal barn roof.

Drain Fields Back-up Generator: The generator and propane tank have been installed near the beach parking lot. No more worrying about manually managing the old generator during unpleasant weather conditions.

Neighborhood preparedness is about combining the skills, equipment and supplies from a group of neighbors to help everyone survive. It is about identifying both those people with the necessary skills such as a doctor or nurse, and those people who need extra help due to age and physical abilities.

Communities are only as resilient as the individuals who make them up and the extent to which those individuals work together.
