When I went about learning about the history of the ranch, I started talking to residents who have been here for over 30 plus years. These conversations inspired me to write what I call a poem, very amateur, but from the heart. I'm still working on this page, I'd like it to be organic and would love more stories to add here so get in touch with me if you have some inspiring facts about the ranch.

Amateur poem by 4SR President

barn after flood

This is where we live.

From one day to the next life rolled by in the valley where floods were prevalent and the fish were so abundant they were plucked out of the water with spears. Where children's adventures peeked around every tree. The same valley that ice once blanketed, pushing rocks into the future Morse creek.

Where generation after generation made memories, stories about the land and fish around the fire. Lives passed with abundance then not, directed by the power of nature and the water, which could heap the valley with floods that required a village to repair.

Eventually, time passed, progress shaped the future. Settlers arrived, laws were passed, bulldozers would straighten the river, levies were formed. Houses were built and families thrived. Fish disappeared, then came back...

Never forget the power of the valley, the gifts of nature, she gives and takes. We love you 4 Seasons Ranch. Honor our history and guide us into the future with gentle hands.

This is where we live.
